It appears that BT just cant get it right, I have suffered from lots of different problems over the past year from BT, from calls appearing on my bill to mobiles that I never made, till crappy broadband. Anyway in June I received my bill, some weeks after I sent BT a cheque for the full amount, heard absolutely nothing until 3 weeks ago, when on attempting to make a call I got a message saying your call has been diverted to BTetcetc, I spoke to someone from BT and explained that I had paid and they said I needed to send them a copy of a statement from my bank showing the money leaving my account, this I had and it clearlu shows that the cheque I wrote to BT ceared from my account 4 weeks ago. I was told that my restriction of incoming calls only would be re-instated to normal. I checked my phone some 24hrs after only to find that it was still on incoming, I rang BT abd got put through to the dreaded call center, who basically knew nothing of my previous call, I was just told to pay my bill or my line would be disconnected I told them that I had prrof my cheque had been cashed in teh form of my statement that they requested I send to them and was told that this was not enough proof that my cheque had been received by BT. At this point my phone was left on incoming calls and as I had the hub phone which was working fine Ithought stuff it, then 3 DAYS ago I found that my land line had been completely disconnected, so I rang BT and said it was due to me not paying my bill, I explained that I had paid and that I had already re contacted my bank and paid a charge to receive a copy of my cheque so that it would show where it had been cashed, and I was told that as soon as I receive this to let them know, yesterday on checking my line it has been re-instated but now my BT home hub has been put onto incoming calls only, I am looking at the moment to leave BT as their charges seem to be getting higher, and the service crappy, has anyone moved from bt recently and if so to who can you recommend,

Sorry to hear of all your problems recently. I would be happy to look into your account and rectify these errors which were made. As you have a payment dispute ongoing, your line should not have been restricted at any stage and for this I am sorry.
I would be really grateful if you could PM me your account number, as this is sensitive material, so I can enter your account and sort this out for you.
Thanks in advance,
Keith
