Selling vinyl on Ebay.

We are having a clear out as we hope to move soon. My OH has thousands of old vinyl records which he will not chuck out even though we have no record player. Male logic!

He has also found a box of records which someone gave him at some time and he is willing to get rid of those. They are a load of old rubbish or so it seems to me, not famous hits or anything. Do these sell on Ebay?

I have had a quick look and it looks like lots are listed, but do not sell. I was thinking of doing these as a job lot. There are about 100 of them, singles and LPs.

Is is worth it or can anyone recommend anywhere else good for selling vinyl?

Thanks.

It's definitely worth checking completed listings for the records in the box that your husband is willing to sell. Quite often the more obscure the artist, the more sought after the record will be.

IF THEY GO ON EBAY THEN CONSIDER THE WEIGHT, IT IS USUALLY WORTH GETTING BUYER TO COLLECT UNLESS THEY ARE WILLING TO SORT A COURIER. I WOULD LIST EACH RECORD IN THE JOB LOT, IF YOU HAVE THE TIME.
IF THERE ARE QUITE A FEW TO SELL THEN I WOULD SAY LOOK ON GUMTREE FOR A DEALER, THEY WILL COME AND AND MAKE YOU AN OFFER FOR THE WHOLE LOT WHICH IS EASIER (DON'T TAKE FIRST OFFER! HAHA).
IT MAY BE WORTH LOOKING AT WHAT EACH RECORD SELLS FOR ON EBAY AS CERTAIN TUNES CAN BE WORTH A LOT, SOMETIMES THE MORE WEIRD AND WONDERFUL THE BETTER!
ALSO CONSIDER CONDITION OF THE RECORDS, THIS IS ACTUAL RECORD CONDITION AND SLEEVE CONDITION, THE MORE CLEAN THEY ARE THE BETTER.
    HOPE THIS HELPS...
