What to class myself as during mortgage application

Options
I've been speaking to an IFA and some banks with regards to a 90% mortgage many of the decent deals are for 1st time buyers.

However I've had a mortgage in the past house has been sold in March no current mortgages and Ive been living in rented accom since last April.

The RBS will only offer the deal to complete 1st time buyers.

Looking on the websites none accurately match my description/circumstance any ideas?

You will need to check the criteria of each lender, to see the wording of what they class as a FTB.

Although, having a property within the last 12 months would normally class you as a Next Time Buyer

Is there some complicated Financial Services definition of FTB ? Not sure how this can be complicated but then I don't work in the industry so willing to know....
