Can you please expand on what you mean? By desktop, do you mean your Internet? Or are you talking about Excel?
If you mean Internet, please advise which browser you are using, and which version.

i have xp when i click on ie my home page opens up but if i want another home page there is no tabs showing i have to come out of the oriinal page and re click ie0 -

IE6 doesn't have tabs. You need to update!0

You are probably using a browser that does not support tabs. You would need to download and install Firefox or one of the other browsers (Opera, Chrome, Safari) or Internet Explorer 8. I suspect you have IE6, so would probably want IE8...0 -
