Chandelier fitting

My sister has had a smallish chandelier that has been sitting in her house for over a year now because she's never got anyone round to fit it! Anyway she's got a quote for £100 from an electrician which seems high to me. The chandelier is going where an existing light is so I don't think any re-wiring is necessary.
Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks.

Your sister shouldn't have said the C word.............chandelier!
20-30 minute job, £50 at the most.0 -
Here in London electricians charge around £65-70 for fitting lights, so £100 seems way over the odds. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -

Hi,
I'm a self employed electrician. I charge approx £30-£40 to install a straightforward light, but, yes, the word "chandelier" does conjur up images of spending hours attaching drops to hooks.0
