i really need some advice (sorry if this is the wrong board!)
My DD likes chocolate mousses - we went in to tesco and my OH saw some cheap tesco own brand mousses which we really cheap so we got them.
Anyway, ive been in hospital and hes been giving her them - and then not washing her clothes but putting them in the wash basket.
Ive washed the clothes no end now and the stains of the cheap and horrible choc mousses are refusing to come out! ive soaked them over night in Vanish and washed them twice with vanish in the washer and although they have faded they are still noticable.
Any ideas on how to get rid of them?
Many thanks!

This worked a treat when DD got a Ribena lolly all down a good top. I scrubbed it but the stain wouldn't budge. It was out on the line for about 3 days (left when raining too) and the stain disappeared.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0 -

Talking of ancient soap, I always used to find that Vanish soap worked better on dodgy stains than any of the sprays...0

It's not the cheapness of the mousse that's the problem...it's your Hubby and his inability to deal with laundry, surely? Any chocolate mousse would stain if left on clothes for several days. What an unfair thing to do...let the washing pile up for you to do when you got out of hospital. Why didn't you just chuck the whole lot back onto his lap and tell him to get the stains sorted?
When my kids were still small enough to be messy and too big to wear bibs I would make them take their good tops off at mealtimes. I kept a few old scruffy t-shirts for them to wear instead. The t-shirts ended up looking like something out of the "before" basket in a washing powder ad and I can honestly say that no washing powder or laundry treatment ever have shifted some of these marks. But it didn't matter, not on old t-shirts.Val.0 -

can you still get vanish soap I much preferred it than the sprays?0 -
I've never seen the soap, but I have a Vanish Stick thing which rolls up like a Glue Stick, although it's much bigger and oval shaped. Mind you, it's probably about three years old now (almost finished though) and I can't think if I've seen them recently. It'e excellent. I'm off to Mr T soon, will have a wee look and update later if you like.
