Dell laptops

I've ordered and received a laptop from Dell minus an integrated web cam. I've now spent three days on the phone with them they reckon they have no exchange policy? don't they have to have one of these? Anyone else had dealings or can help?

    If you ordered the webcam it'll be on your order. They will have to exchange as they've not given you what you've paid for.

    Apparently Dell 'do not have an exchange policy' ! I thought that was illegal.

    You should have received an email with the options you selected itemised. If the webcam is on there and it isn't on your laptop then there shouldn't be a problem. If you haven't selected the webcam for any reason then there isn't a comeback. I am not sure about DSR when you have an order built to order, I don't think it is available to you.

    We have ordered three dell units to date and all have been as ordered. So have a look at your order agin.

    I hAve ordered and received 2 Dell Laptops in the past 2 months and they have been exactly as ordered. However the order process can be tricky in that you 'build' your order through a series of pages so it can be quite easy to think you have confirmed something and haven't. Also, my son had an operating problem with his laptop and they were very helpful - even ringing 3 days later to confirm all was OK!
