Missile very few companies have a limit on tvs etc they tend to have a limit on valuable items eg jewellery, camera, works of art etc.

Here is the general limit for baggage http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Warsaw_Convention (Remember to report the missing item and complete the baggage irregularity report at the airport as soon as you realise the bag is missing).

I cannot find an exclusion in the DL policy stating they do not cover bags lost by an airline (I could be missing it).

It does not look to bad a policy and is certainly good value for you

I did not see any reference in the policy document either. In response to my question re lost luggage, DL said cover for personal possessions would exclude when those were out of my control i.e. after bags were checked in by the airline. In the event, I would still challenge this as it does not appear to be excluded in the policy document. Thanks for the heads up, re proceedure. I have been through this more than once, hence my concern.

Thanks for the link. Looks like airline would be liable for loss, up to circa £17 per Kg of lost luggage.

    Correction, I found this
The insurance provided under paragraphs A and B3 of this section 3
will apply to the property insured while temporarily outside the
British Isles, and while in the custody and control of you or any
member of your family or locked in a hotel safe.

This paragraph would exclude cover for possessions "while in the custody and control of the airline".

Your right, I remember when DL brought this exclusion in, funnily enough it was during the problems with Terminal 5 oddly enough
