how long should it take a fridge freezer to reach optimum temperature once turned on for the first time?

what is the ideal fridge/freezer temp?

    Time taken varies from model to model, it should tell you in your instruction manual.

    With regards to ideal temperature it depends on your personal preference and the types of things you store. 3 - 6 degrees for the fridge and -18 to -21 for the freezer.
