v. sturdy shed?

OH collects computers & games consoles. A couple of years ago he acquired 2 arcade machines :rolleyes: which are now living under the stairs in our open plan living room.
We want to block in the stairs & create a hall but need to move the arcade games (if we wall them up we will never get them our again! ).
The options seem to be
1) get rid of them altogether (I am all for this but OH won’t hear of it),
2) have them in the living room (OH is all for this but I am totally against as they are huge & ugly & this is our only living space) or
3) compromise & get some sort of shed & have them outside.
We have a maximum space for the shed of 6ft x 5ft. Due to the space the arcade machines take up the minimum internal width of the shed would be 4ft. The height would have to be at least 6ft all across the width (not just the apex height).
Also the floor would have to be very solid. I’m not sure how heavy the machines are but they can only be lifted with 3 people & there are two of them so I am presuming we need a concrete base (we can lay this ourselves, OH’s parents have a concrete mixer).
We're not that worried about security as they are soooooooo heavy they won’t get far if they do try & take them (and I wouldn’t be all that upset if they did
)
Were not worried about putting it together or anything, we just need to do it as cheaply as possible. Would it be cheaper to build one ourselves?

Your home is at risk if you do not keep up repayments on a mortgage or other loan secured on it.

Suggest you consider a solid concrete base and one of those metal sheds you can get. The only thing you need to worry about is condensation. You can overcome this by using rockwall insulation in the walls and under the roof.
The base should be esy to lay. Any DIY manual will tell you how. You just need to make sure you lay it to the dimensions required for the shed.

I needed a shed to be an exact size so after phoning around found it cheaper and better to build my own. All electrics in there and everything. Now either go for a metal shed type which it will be cheaper but if you want wooden then the best option would be a self build.0

Wickes do a 6 x 4 ft shed for under £100. I got one recently for son in law and although its not the very best it is perfectly adequate and cheap. It's at least 6ft high with a chipboard floor.I'm Glad to be here... At my age I'm glad to be anywhere!!
I'm not losing my hair... I'm getting more head!!0
