Call into the information desk at Cheshire Oaks on your way, they have reduced rate tickets on sale there.

Depending upon how many times you will go in 12 months but the yearly membership is a very good offer. Went yesterday was £50 in for a Family of four or £175 for a 12 months membership, which also gives you free access to other Zoo's and 20% off in the shops.

  • If you go via Merseyrail you can get an 'all in' ticket which covers your train fare and your entry to the zoo for £18.50 (adults) or £14 (child aged 3-15). Just ask for Chester Zoo at a Merseyrail train station when you buy the ticket.

Thanks for posting that, we saved £5 each by popping in to Cheshire Oaks on the way and getting our tickets there. It also saves you queueing to buy the tickets at the Zoo, the queue looked very long. Nice one.

Anyone know if they have discounted tickets now (Feb 2010)?
  • Yup, we went yesterday and bought tickets for about £11 each. They were valid to the end of the year. It was a 10 minute detour for us, but it saved us about £10. :)
