Iva?
Hello,
I am a single parent of 3 living in my own home ( although not on the mortgage, my ex pays the mortgage) I currently receive IS, CTC and CB. I am due to start a course where I will get a bursary. I estimate that after all my expenses I will have approx £300 left over for my debts.
I currently have approx £20,000 on CC which I have come to temporary arrangements on, and one cc debt with a debt collection agency as the cc offered me no temporary negotiations:eek:
I also have a joint loan with my ex for £25000.
So, firstly do you think an IVA may be a possibility?
How does an IVA work with a joint loan ?
Where is the best place to go for an IVA? as I have heard of horror stories, I wouldn't know who to trust. I have spoken to CCCS and National Debtline in the past but now I will have a salary coming in I want to pay off my debt if possible.
Thanks

Thanks Charco,
The bursary will be paid monthly as a salary.
The Credit card debt is over 5 different credit cards.
I'd be really grateful if you could give me the number of a company that may be able to help.
I really appreciate your help.

Have a search on the internet for IVA and Insolvency practitioners and give a couple a ring. I am with Blair Endersby, but wouldn't really recommend them - there are loads out there though.0
