Curtains - colours

Hello
would deep burgundy curtains go in a room where the top part of the wall is painted white and the bottom is beige?
The dining table is an oak table and the chairs that go with it are dark brown leather, there is also a mirror with a dark brown trim. I am looking to give it a more homely/warm/cosy feel, the sofa is a brown fabric and the floor is solid oak.
thanks

if you want to make it cosier then paint the white a warmer colour - maybea paler shade of the beige.
Only real ay to tell with the curtains is to get a sample, impossible for us to tell without seeing anythingPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Look online for some colour comparisons, save them. Play around in a paint type programme to see if the colours work.
Either that or paint some of your room colours on to some card and take it into a fabric shop to see if the colours go together.Everything has its beauty but not everyone sees it.0 -
I think that yes it will go just fine. Perhaps it's not the all inspiring colour scheme you'll find in a magazine, and an "off white with a hint of fields of lavender" colour might suit better or something but it sounds ok.
Someone will have somewhere tried the same thing. If you're ever wondering about colours that go - pop them into a google image search to see it already played out... http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3046/2389600566_3f64d6df94.jpgI love surprises!0 -
I've just looked at this link from Maggie111 and I think this colour scheme looks lovely.:T0
