well, i've been working on the switchboard of the city council, and people who call for help witrh uniforms are directed to Social Services, dealt with by the county council.

i'll see if i can find some links.

    Evening all!

I agree with Lou about how to eat a jaffa cake, you keep the orangey bit till last cos it's nicest!

And I'd be up for cheering you on in Manchester, if you wanted me to.

Does the school have a second hand uniform thing, maybe you could get stuff from there? My school brought in logo'd stuff just as I was leaving, it was in the middle of a council estate and one of the most deprived catchment areas in the town, god knows how people were supposed to afford it all.

I agree Sammy, I think schools that make compulsory uniform are out of order. I wonder how many parents can truely afford to throw money away on it when a cheaper option would be just as good. Do they have any funds available for families who can't afford Spud?

I havent a clue Sal. Both me and DH feel really stressed (and embarrassed) that we're struggling :o

He's barely slept today, and was up really early to try work things out. I've bitten my nails, and picked the skin till I can barely move my fingers - how i deal with stress :o
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches
