Are Car Auctions A Good Place To Buy

Hi All
I want to buy a cheap diesel (Citroen C5) and wonder if the car auctions are a good place to get the best deal.
Cheers

You need to take someone with you that knows a lot about cars and can give it a check.
It's possible to get a bargain but so easy to get stung.

I think auctions are a great place to buy, but always look for direct cars (ie. direct from a main agent). Some auction's even put on the ticket which main agent it has come from.
Remember that the price the hammer falls on is not the price you pay, you will have an indemnity to pay which varies on the price of the car and rises the more you pay. Each auction house will have different charges, check before you buy.
    Hope this helps.
