What is electric unit rates higher then gas unit rates
Hi.
On my edf bills I see that:
* for electric the first 225 units are charged at 16.33 then the remainder at 11.20.
* for electric the first 670 units are charged at 7.00 then the remainder at 3.056.
Why is the unit rates of electric more expensive then the gas?
Thanks

Because it costs more to produce and deliver to your house.0

Is this question serious? That's like saying why do I get charged more for a bottle of champagne than a pint of beer in my local pub. It's because they are two different things.0
