camp bastion afghanistan operation herrick

hi, my other half is out here and just putting a parcel together for her and checked on the BFPO website and it says parcels cannot be sent to operation herrick at bastion. is this correct? i thought you could send up to 2kg here. please help, i really want to send my specially put together shoe box! thanks

oh i think my show box is classed as a packet rather than a parcel! What is a parcel then?!

Shoe box I think you meant? When I was there last, lots of people were receiving shoe box parcels The PO should be able to advise you further. Definitely 2kgs or less is free though.

Still ok to post shoebox size parcels/packets out there. Sent one off to my son this morning. This is what it says on the Official British Forces Post Office website:- Packets are limited to 2kg in weight, Weight
Maximum of 2Kg
Dimension
Min: One surface at least 90mm x 140mm.
Max: Length + Depth + Width= 900mm, with greatest single dimension not more than 600mm.
