thanks Nick, I've tried creating a table in Access but as I'm a novice I've worked out how to import half of the data from Excel but it won't let me import a 2nd worksheet and add it to the table.0

Hi Gambler
Do you still need help with the problem? Maybe I could help?
I know access quite well , not tried doing pivot tables via excel via access database table as the source.
Maybe you could just send me the excel file and then will explain how I imported into access and then create the excel spreadsheet that will have pivot table.
