Scottish Power
I decided a couple of months ago to switch so called up scottish power and said I was moving due to price increases etc. They offered tto put me on a capped rate that seemed quite competitive. As others hadn't put their prices up yet so I went with it.
When my bill was calculated online this week my gas bill had trebled for this quarter - wouldn't mind but the heating hasn't been on much for the past month. Emailed to ask how this was calculated and what rates were used etc and got a long winded response about looking at the website (never answered my original questions) - but highlight was
"We don't have your account on Capped rates, your account is on our Premier Plus Online tariff. "
What the heck is premier plus - I never asked to go on it, and was never on it in the past.
Can I do anything besides whinge (thank you for reading!) and move my account (looks like npower) - I've paid 3 times what I should have this quarter and am not amused!!

Unfortunately yes.daknockman wrote:Log a Sales complaint and they should backdate you to the correct rates.
I did that and got a standard response email - never heard back again. Decided I'll go with nPower now - that might make them come back to me - but I doubt it!0
