can anyone help i am doing a website for my mate and she got a video she want on there she has done this with her mobile phone then convert to a avi but the file size are so big it taking ages to work with there like 77.5mb is there a way to reduce this anyway

Convert it to a flash video file or use a higher compression codec

If you are using windows xp use "Windows Movie Maker". There are different options for reducing the sizes of movies.0

How long is the video? It is possible that you converted it to uncompressed avi wich will be many times larger than it needs to be. For web standard video you can get 45 minutes viewing for a 77Mb file.
What program did you use to convert the phone video file (which should be .3gp) to .avi?
