Hi all, I'm hoping you can help!
I have recently bought a house which has a BT line that currently is not active. It can however be switched on by BT free of charge.
I have noticed that some providers of phones / tv / broadband say that you need a BT line to use them e.g. Sky+. Do they mean I need an active BT line ie, I'm paying BT line rental, or do they mean the line just has to be there physically?
Also, whats best? A bundle from one provider or separate companies? I don't know how any of it works!

We have just gone over to post office for our phone & b/band thats was a free connection in case you are interested, But when they say BT line needed they mean not a cable phone line ie;-virgin or ntl etc, best to find the company you are interested in them phone them and ask if they will activate it . But I would strongly recommend NOT going with Talk Talk they are a complete nightmare !! best thing is to decide what you need then see whats on offer but watch out for those connection fees they very from 0 up £60+ and thats just really for the paper work half the time.
But one last thought if you are thinking about sky , if you are in an area thats is about to loose it signal sky do very good offers in those areas , but of course thats only if you want tv as well.0 -
Thanks Lee.
I'm wanting a phone (basic package), broadband (unlimited) and TV (basicish package so long as it has discovery and sky1).0
