Is their a time limit on reclaiming bill paid by CC.

I ordered some furniture about a year ago and for many reasons including excuses from the supplier, I never received the goods. Finally, I got an email from someone else to tell me they company had gone bust and they had taken over only the trading name.

I paid by telephone but most of the contact was by email.

I contacted the CC company (Egg) and they said that usually there was a 6 month time limit to reclaim the money from them.

Does anyone know if this is the case. I do have to admit, I was very slow in contacting Egg after eventually realising I was not going to get my goods/monely back.
