I often buy the reduced items at Sains [the ones with the yellow stickers/barcodes stuck over the original ones].
The issue is that nearly every time i go through the checkout the girl spends 10 mins trying to get the yellow barcode to scan, then gives up and types them all in manually
Very irritating......esp since I complained and was told 'yeah, they always seem to be a problem all the time'.

i tihnk the issue is down to the printer the member of staff uses, i used ot work in sainsburys so im in the know, yes its annoying as ive had to type them in myself, maybe a word with the store manager or the fresh foods manager would be a good idea, i saw the printer as i solved the problem by changing printers but it could be something else mind0 -
it was going on 8 or 9 years ago when my wife worked there....she had to input stuff manually, normally after peeling back the sticker....fast forward to today....still the same problem....there's a surprise...I'm now a retired teacher... hooray ...:j
Those who can do, those who can't, come to me for lessons:cool:0 -
Same problem at ASDA. The yellow stickers need holding very close to the self serve scanner and shaken about. Even then only 50% scan.0
