VW Lupo?

I need to buy a car and was thinking about a VW Lupo. I don't do a lot of miles each year and only occasionally drive distances over 100 miles. I want a car that's cheap to insure and has more miles per gallon. Can anyone recommend the Lupo or any other similar car?

Have you considered the Seat Arosa? Its a Lupo but with a Seat badge .... as a result, its cheaper.

Either way, go for the diesel versions. Very economical.

I'm not convinced of a fuel saving reason to buy a diesel, rather than petrol, on city cars or superminis.

Unless you're covering a high mileage, it doesn't add up - plus you wouldn't want to go too far, that often in a car of this size.

& to answer the Q - check http://www.honestjohn.co.uk clik Car By Car Breakdown link for all thats good AND bad on all models.

& then think about a Fiat Seicento instead - Sporting version cuter, faster, smarter & more fun - in Broom Yellow of course!!!
