Disc Depot Dundee?

Hello,

While looking for someone to replace the inverter on my Dell Inspiron 1300 I came across Disc Depot in Dundee.

I had been quoted nearly £100 by a local (North London) repair centre but according to their website these guys can do it for £40 including collection and delivery!

Info/reviews seem scarce but it generally positive and mainly for purchases rather than repair.

I was wondering if anyone here had experience with them, especially for their collection and return repair service over long distances.

Thanks, but that seems to relate mainly to purchases rather than repairs.

I have made quite a few purchases from Disc Depot and also had my pc repaired. I thought the service was excellent but then I live in Dundee so not long distance collection.

Well, so far so good.

Could not get through on the phone between 10 and 12 this morning so emailed them, got a response within 10 minutes with all the info I wanted so I have booked the repair online and am expecting collection from my office in the next couple of days.

The next lowest quote I could get from a company near work was £69 + VAT.

Fingers crossed.

Will post on the praise board if all goes OK.

Well....

Laptop was collected yesterday.

Arrived with them today and by 2.30pm they had phoned me to say that replacing the inverter had not cured the problem and a replacement screen was required at an additional £75.....
