wow. I'd love to grow potatoes and garlic - I am almost a complete beginner it has to be said and have already taken over part of the communal garden with pots :rotfl:.
Some people seem to have had success with tomatoes but some haven't this year. I guess next year I'll get strawberries and tomatoes won't do so well. Who knows.
How are you growing them? pots/grow bags/in the ground?

Gemmzie do you mean job applications or benefit applications?

    df

Pots - I don't have any beds, just a paved backyard area which I've taken over too :D I'm more or less a beginner too - started a few years ago with herbs and progressed from there.

I didn't. The meeting was this morning, but I was convinced it was the same time as last week, 4. I phoned up as soon as I realised and asked for another appointment. I'm so angry with myself that I've done it this week of all weeks. Hopefully the email I sent yesterday will get through to him.

DF - all sounds terribly horticultural to me!!! I'm well impressed!

Plans for this evening are take Erin to football training, do 4 mile run (at least, and i'm not letting myself off with less) and go home to watch/listen to Celtic Arsenal match......

    sounds pretty good to me!
I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....

Is your 'view' menu still showing? Might be something under toolbars? Not used Outlook for a while so can't remember :o

Hehe - I'd love to be closer to self-sufficient but not easy with only a little space!
