Some people seem to have had success with tomatoes but some haven't this year. I guess next year I'll get strawberries and tomatoes won't do so well. Who knows.

Pots - I don't have any beds, just a paved backyard area which I've taken over tooI'm more or less a beginner too - started a few years ago with herbs and progressed from there.

I didn't. The meeting was this morning, but I was convinced it was the same time as last week, 4. I phoned up as soon as I realised and asked for another appointment. I'm so angry with myself that I've done it this week of all weeks. DF - all sounds terribly horticultural to me!!! I'm well impressed!
Plans for this evening are take Erin to football training, do 4 mile run (at least, and i'm not letting myself off with less) and go home to watch/listen to Celtic Arsenal match......
