If you are unhappy with them there are other insolvency companies to speak to (no obligations or fees) who can at least give you a second opinion.

I was looking at some info on "door collections" (bailiffs or whatever)...

    a quick read here:
    http://www.mccambridgeduffy.co.uk/Bankruptcy/Bailiffs.html

    or here:
    http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/MoneyTaxAndBenefits/ManagingDebt/DebtsAndArrears/DG_10034289

should let you know your rights.

  • IP phoned late yesterday afternoon and basically said that because interest has been added on since the case was set up the original amount set was not enough to cover the amount of pence in the pound repayable. So we have agreed a new amount of £350 which more than covers what they are looking for and even though it will be hard for us, should now look favourable on us as we are trying to resolve this issue.

The IP is away today but has said he will phone again Monday afternoon with an update. DAL in the meantime have contacted Mercers direct who won't talk to them even though I have given authority and the DAL have emailed screen shots of my case of who they have contacted and when, so all credit to them they are trying to keep my nerves intact for a bit longer.

I just think this is the longest 12 weeks of my life

But if it all comes together you could look back on it as one of the best 12 weeks of your life (outside kids etc).

Just wondering though, has your house been mentioned? You say you have plenty of equity there and it will have to be addressed sometime! You'd be well beyond your "p in the £" by the time it's included.

If you go into an IVA, there will be a fourth year valuation... has this been discussed with you?

Saying you've moved from £300 per month to £350 is only half the story!

    BUMP!

    Raindrops?

How'd the phonecall go on Monday? Did your IP discuss the house at all?
