I use online banking & want to save my 12 digit number but am unable to do it.
I use firefox & after each session on the computer it removes the cookies, i have tried to make exceptions for barclays/nationwide but still no joy.
Any help would be most appreciated.

The banking login section probably uses a different url from the main site (and possibly several of them at different stages). Have you made the exception for the main site url?
Suggest trying "keep until... ask every time" from the privacy tab of Tools > Options, then it should prompt you about each cookie from the various stages/urls....0 -
I tend to use Explorer for online banking as Firefox used to have issues with it.
You should memorise the 12 digit number

I have Firefox 3.5.2 and a barclays account - and it works fine, logged into account checking the save details button - logged out and its been saved.

I use Firefox and have a few on line bank accounts but I don't check the box for remembering details as there was a warning about it some time ago - can't remember where from just that it is said to be a security risk.0
