Just remember to pay by credit card or finance agreement, so you can get the "lender" to resolve the problem under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act ! (they're jointly liable with the vendor, so if LOL can't / won't sort it out or go bust, you still effectively have a warranty with the lender)0

We bought ours about 18 months ago, and bought the warranty. The warranty isn't worth the paper it is written on - and the sofas are terrible!
We had to get someone out to repair both of them - one of the arms was really loose and the "leather" is starting to rip. The woman who came out to fix it, was very honest about what she thought of this company! Basically, she said that anything that touches your skin (i.e. seats, backs etc) was leather, and everything else was leather match (plastic!). This doesn't sound to bad until you realise that the sides of the cushions are leather match, and that whilst leather is flexible, leather match isn't - so the leather match starts to tear, and it cannot be repaired. This is what has happened to ours within 18 months - all of the sides of the cushions have started to tear. She actually told us to start saving for a new sofa and that these don't last more than two years.
We bought these sofas as a temporary measure, as we were planning to build an extension on the house, and buy new sofas then, so we knew that we would only need them for 2 or 3 years. We didn't want to spend a lot of money on something that wouldn't be the wrong size for the extension. However, we were hoping that they would last the whole 3 years - and that we might be able to sell them or give them to someone after we had finished with them. At this rate, though, they won't even last the three years!
So buy anything from this company with extreme caution. And when the salespeople try to sell you the warranty, ask for the policy in writing - we were told that we were buying the top level cover, when in fact they sold us the base level cover. They refused to do anything about this - and then went into administration!0 -

Await the new Company - Universe of Leather
the new company is WORLD OF SOFAS
it has been set up by the people who run land of leather with there own cash.
no doubt it will be full of the same crappy sweat shop chinese furniture that all their other stores sold.
my sofa, my friends sofas and my parents sofas have all fallen apart and when the people come from the insurance company was told they would not fix. its a complete rip off.
Also the recliner on mine had broke and cant be repaired due to the design and build of the sofa. was told its basically just cheap tat.
i would not recommend these stores to anyone and certainly wouldnt use again0 -
We bought our sofa's from them years ago..it's still going strong well will be until Monday when we replace it with another..this one will be freecycled.:D
We purchased a 3 + 2 and a reclining chair in cream leather/what ever it is mislead to be either way it's lasted so no bad complaint here.0 -
