Magix Extreme Photostory 8/MS Photostory 3

I have been using MS Photostory 3 very effectively for some time but have been looking at Magix Xtreme Photostory 8 as an alternative.

My big gripe with MS PS 3 is the inability to burn to DVD. I know I can do this through Nero but I get awfully confused and would like the process to be more straightforward.

Also, it suggests that video clips can be used in this as well. I take this to mean the little video clips I take with my digital camera but not sure?

Is Magix a better product that PS 3? Is it worth investing in? Are there more features? Is it similar to use to PS 3 which I find very intuitive?

Any advice appreciated before I buy.
