    You would have to check with your scout leader - I was able to start Gift Aiding subs when the boys were Scouts, which surprised me but apparently there was some change to the rules which made it permissible.

    I'd be surprised if your district / group hasn't got this set up, they may have just forgotten to give you the forms!

    I used to pay termly by cheque which made the logistics simpler ...

    I was given a Gift Aid card when I recently donated some items to a charity shop. I recently got a letter listing how much the items went for and how much they got in gift aid (apparantly by law they have to send out the letter). It did really cheer me up seeing how much had been made.

    and incidentally I do the same for Help the Aged (thinking of my future here;)).
    When they sent me the letter I had the option, at that point, to reclaim the money they had made less a handling fee...
    as it was over £40 I was kinda tempted for a moment :rotfl:
