I emailed the onetel people the solution about a week ago and have not heard from them. They said that when I get my bill they will be able to change things. In the mean time there is no pricing in their website.
Here is a copy of the email
Needless to say I have not recieved a reply but will keep pestering them
After careful consideration I believe the problem in this case lies with the
fact that on your websites the number 0844200 are not listed (I have checked
http://www.onetel.co.uk/index.php?node=landline-call-rates-nongeo) and
therefore for the premium number g22 you have input the price quoted by bt with
a mistake: instead of charginig me 0.55 p per minute the system has "read" 55 p
per minute. I have been researching based on the information provided by
costumer services and have also found the evidence to prove this.
If you go to http://www.downloads.bt.com/pricing/SpecialisedNos.pdf you will
find the rates. I will copy and paste teh information. On page 8 (10 of 34) you
can see that the number is type g22
0844 200 g22 (pasted from the website)
If you then go to page page 25 (27 of 34) of that same webpage you will find the
following information regarding pricing:
Pence per minute
Daytime Evening & night-time Weekend
Exc. VAT Inc. VAT Exc. VAT Inc. VAT Exc. VAT Inc. VAT
g22 - Calls not including Internet Services 0.425 0.50 0.425 0.50 0.425 0.50
I hope this is clear enough, since I am providing you with all the basic
information and, as I was informed from a member of your costumer service team
on wednesday 19th April, you charge me what BT advises you to charge and. I
hope these mistakes can be changed in my account before the bill is generated.
I would also be very grateful if you could reply to this email as soon as you
have confirmed that the details submited are correct.
Yours,

Surely this is an issue for the regulator? Why waste time and energy on a telephone company that does not respond: OFTEL can force them to respond.0
