I hope I am not being too cheeky asking such a piddly unimportant question.
I have just got used to Opera instead of IEand then a guy at work has loaded up firefox for me purely so that I can easily use a proxy on-off switch for when I am accessing internet at work as opposed to home.
I like Opera for the tabs as opposed to IE. The only thing I find annoying with firefox is although tabs are enabled, each time I click on a link it appears in the same tab which defeats the object a little. Have looked through options in tools and what I've tried hasn't made any difference. Anybody know how to sort it? It's gotta be possible.

This extension will give a whole lot more tab options
Alternatively, you can middle-click links (Hovering over a link and then pushing down your mouse wheel like a button).
This will open the link in a new background tab
Or you can make middle-clicking open in a foreground tab by changing -
Tools / Options / "Tabs" tab
pick "Select new tabs open from links"0 -

It depends upon the extentions installed and the options available to you from that extention. In my FF install, I use this here which gives a variety of "new tab" options including using the middle button to launch links in different windows. But for the one you have installed presently if you find the link to "Extentions" either under file or tools or whatever, you should be presented with them. Right Click on the entry and see what Options it gives you.
I tried to make FF into Opera, but no matter how I tried it didn't feel or act as Opera did so reverted back. FF works similarily to Opera in that the themes opera uses are infact extentions in FF.
HTHIt could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.0 -
You could turn the proxy on/off using a vbs script instead..
