a/c heat pumps in UK?

i have seen inverter a/c units in scandinavia used for heating, they seem very good even at very low external temperatures [ -15c ] giving up to 4 or 5kw heat for 1 kw of electricity. anyone know if there are any deals on these things in the UK. with our relatively warm winters they would be vey cheap to run.
