Hope you don't mind if I intrude on your thread KP. Just a quick thought.
Give us a call if you are struggling with this bill. Ask for a payment arrangement to spread it over a more manageable period.
Might make a little difference.
Let me know if I can help as will be happy to do so.

Hi KP
Don't feel bad. We do understand that sometimes people need a bit longer to clear bills. That's why we offer payment arrangements to try and help.
Pleased you have sorted it now and good luck going forward.

Good to hear from you KP.
On the flipside, I know how OH might feel, it is hard when your OH is working hard as mine has been doing, but you kinda get through it by knowing it's not forever. Mine has been doing a lot of work at his mum's as they've been having a whole revamp of their kitchen and conservatory and he's spent a lot of weekends and hours after work there helping out.
He's a good soul and I know he's doing it to help out his mum so I do understand, it is quite lonely sometimes but I'm sure your OH knows you working hard is also for the family and the secondment is great news too, a real bonus:)Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Thanks Jo
It so easy to get wrapped up in your own problems and forget about how others are feeling.
I have finally agreed to get OH to go on weekend away. A Butlins 80s weekend in Oct. Kust ordered the Tesco vouchers so only spends to find. Kids all have places to stay although I still have to confirm DD1s is ok. Really looking forward to spending so time out together.
Good news on the money front - rang tax credits and I was underpaid by over 200 last year so thats due this week and then the weekly amount has jumped a few quid :J. A look at the budget means that by the end of the month most big spends other than birthdays and christmas will be paid with a 163 shortfall that will be cleared in July.:j0 -
Dont quite get the neighbor situation or how the flag helps as would have thought that would inflame the situation? Sorry if I'm being dull...we had dire fighting here last night - five lads attacking the asylum seekers who live down the road...nasty and got very out of hand.
Good news re the job if not quite what you wanted should help? Is there chance of getting it longer atthe end. As for feeling bad about moaning its all relative - not a comp for who has the most stress - its about us all supporting each other through our individual circumstances and challengesHas oh been to the doc?

I wasn't having a go KP if it came across like that?? Just trying to reassure you that although your OH is lonely, I'm sure he understands it's for the greater good if you like:)
Nice about you and OH having a weekend away, taking the kids away is always nice but it's nice too to have couple time - in fact I think it's really important to have that balance and remember the separate relationships within the family group IYKWIM? Kinda makes you remember why you're together in the first place - easy to forget sometimes under the pressures of the day-to-day routines. Something to look forward to as well:)Dealing with my debts!Currently overpaying Virgin cc -balance Jan 2010 @ 1985.65Now @ 703.63

Sorry the two are completely unrelated their house is next to our neighbours behind us so they couldnt see the flag unless they walked around. Im sure they will see it but didnt think the flag would incite anything. OH puts flags up every European or World cup. Thankfully I consider this a fairly racial less area so it was a hugh surprise to be called a racist. Its obviously his problem not ours. I cant believe people cant hang the country's flag up once in a while. We have only had compliments so far. Sorry to hear you have had worse.
Ref work it may last longer but thats not the point come Jan we will be able to claim overtime that will easily cost them a fortune so they wont have a choce but to do something. I wont be happy until Im paid similar to other colleagues that do the same work. I am grateful to have a job though.
OH is ok he wont go to the Doc but we will work things through always do.:j0 -
