Hi there,
been decluttering my CD's and wondered what or where would be the best place to sell them?
I was gonna send them all to music magpie, but thought I would ask you all for advice first:D
thanks

was just about to ask the same question! I have 100+ cds, mostly indie/alt/rock to get rid of!0

I'd advise you look them up on Amazon before you do anything with them to get a rough idea of what they are worth as you may find you have a few hidden gems
(as an example, I recently went through a friends fairly small collection and found a pressing of a single that goes for roughly £30 on ebay and a rare album with a mis-pressing). I don't know a great deal about anything outside of industrial metal/electronica stuff, but it's always worth seeing if they are rare and out of print before you ditch them as sometimes it can be quite suprising. After that, I guess it depends on how much time/effort you are prepared to spend if you want to list them indiviually and sell them over a period of months or if you just want shot of them in one go

Have just had/having a BAD experiance with Music Magpie. Sent about 50 cds over 6 weeks ago, all items were present and were double checked by my husband. Have heard nothing at all from them and my status is still pending. Contacted them and it has taken 5 days to respond. Their reply is that a considerable amount of cds were missing and could i confirm if they were all present and in one parcel. I am still waiting a reply from my responce, which was why it has taken over 6 weeks and me having to contact them for them to advise me of this.
Would be wary of sending a big amount to them as i could now have lost out on a sum of money.0 -
