Ants eating our carrots
We've been a bit baffled why we keep pulling up carrots that are eaten away down one size and now realise we have an ant infestation in the raised bed!
The ants aren't on the surface only visible when we dig or pull up the carrots.
I'm going to pull up my remaining carrots this evening what can I do to get rid of the ants? Am I right in thinking that traditional ant powder will poison to soil so won't be any good next year?
Also I have some onions, later carrots and parsnips further along in the same bed what can I do to stop the ants going after these?
Thanks!

have alook for the sort of ant poison that is liquid, sweet & sticky. The ants carry it home but it does not poison soil, but check label first
