Ooops should read reasonable priced!! LOL

Hi at last my husband has agreed to the bathroom being redone, no laughing now as we inherited the suite 21yrs ago! when we moved here, AUBERGINE!! Anyway out it goes soon . Anyone have any good suggestions of where we can get a good price on tiles. We live in West Yorkshire and I seem to be spending hours checking tile showrooms out on the internet but just hoped someone might have personal experience of a good place. Thanks

ceramodo in leeds are fab - I usually take in a sample of what i like from fired earth and they find me similar/ same for a quarter of the price!

Topps seemed very expensive to me when I was last in there - particularly because a lot of their priceing is based on quantity discount, so if you only need a small quantity of tiles, or you want to mix and match tiles you have to pay the higher rates which can be painful compared to the kind of price you get in DIY stores.

I found far better prices at independent tile stores, the kind that are hidden away in units in the depths of industrial estates - I found them by adverts in the local papers that drop through my door. They had far bigger ranges at far better prices than anything I saw in Topps or DIY stores. Sorry, I'm nowhere near you so can't make any recommendations, other than look for adverts that say things like "HUGE RANGE OF TILES! WAREHOUSE PRICES!"

I have just ordered some from this company.

    bigselection

They are not near me, so i had to choose them online but a search gave good reviews. Hopefully they will be what i wanted. Seemed pretty reasonable compared to other places.

We've just bought a fair quantity of tiles from wallsandfloors.co.uk/

We saved approx £300 against our local tile supplier, who didn't seem even slightly interested in giving us a discount to come near to the price.

Delivery is £20 so if your only buying a few things it might not be worthwile.

Also delivery quoted on order, was immediately changed by e-mail post order for approx a week delay. Although once the delivery date was confirmed it was delivered correctly.

So generally, highly recommended, although if you need quickly on a specific date maybe best phoning first to confirm they have in stock

I know this sounds dull, but we
recently went to B&Q for ours
they had some nice tiles on offer
    at very reasonable prices.
When we got ours they had a 15%
    off everything instore offer,which
    made it even cheaper.

To give you an idea our bathroom floor
in the very same mosiac tiles as Topps
(builder reccomended). Topps price inc grout
£300, B&Q price just the tiles £80 we bought
    the grout seperatly.

Agree about the independants they seemed
very reasonable on price,I thought Topps
was a bit on the expensive side.
