Dont forget calcium is not the only important nutrient the body needs, pregnant or not pregnant! Also why focus on dairy? calcium is in a wide range of foods, green vegetables in particular

It's Vitamin A (liver, and thus pate, are naturally very high sources of it) and, apparently, it's really bad for the baby in high doses. The reason for liver or pate is the level of I think Vit D or something is too high in there - mummy brain has kicked in and I can't recall what it is that's the problem

Nuts were on the 'banned' list at the start of my pregnancy. At the end my midwife recommended that I eat them as I was aneamic lol and the 'guidelines' had changed whereby they now think that avoiding nuts can cause nut allergies.MANAGED TO CLEAR A 3K OVERDRAFT IN ONE FRUGAL, SUPER CHARGED MONEY EARNING MONTH!:j

OMG - I am addicted to banana milkshake (mixed up myslef - not from McD's)!!!!!
I think the pate can have Listeriosis (sp?!).
Oh, and the peanuts - I was told to avoid if I have asthma, hayfever etc, as there's some kind of link between them and peanut alleries, but as I only ever have a few if someone else is eating them, I'm not too worried about that either! The best advice you can give your children: "Take responsibility for your own actions...and always Read the Small Print!"
