Problem with printer

Hi Techie's,
I have an Epson R200 printer that has decided to go on strike!
It keeps showing 'printer not ready' even the ink quantities are showing just grey
I have checked that all the leads are where they should be, the light is on on the printer but nothing happens.
Has my printer gone to printer heaven or have I missed something, any help please?
Carmen x
PS. This only happened since putting a new external H/D in and using a new usb multi hub.

try using the printer on a USB port on the actual computer, rather than the HUB, and see what happens then...0

I had this problem if my memory serves me right you either replace the pads or clean them out lightly pressed kitchen paper
I think there is one at the rear too I had the R300
There is one pad near the ink and what I did was let the print head move to lhs and then pull plug out quickly so you can get to the pad, clean it out with lightly pressed kitchen paper to dry it out you bets folding it several times as ink can easily get on your hands and ist a begger to get off0
