Anyone got an opinion on these.
I have a really old radiator in my lounge that stretches for 6 foot across the back wall. As there is a sofa in front of it, the heat doesn't reach into the room. To create more room I was thinking of replacing it with a vertical radiator that would only need to be a couple of feet wide and so won't be blocked by the sofa.
Any opinions on whether these heat the room as well as the more traditional style. Would the room get cold at floor level as there won't be much heat generated at that level and heat rises? Are they efficient?
Any problems that a fitter may encounter?

Have slowly been fitting these throughout my house without any problems. As you will need to move (at least one) of the radiator pipes, you could take the opportunity to move the radiator anywhere you want to minimise the chance of cold spots, certainly I've not had any problems or noticed any difference in heating performance.0

Don't think by having a sofa in the way you are stopping heat reaching the rest of the room. Unless you have a nasa designed heat reflecting model, that is. You would be changing it for cosmetic reasons only. Bear this in mind before you spend all your money for the wrong reasons.0
