Cheap Printing

Hi, We organise charity events around the UK and our print costs to promote them are
uncomfortably high. We use mainly printing.com / Prontaprint for leaflets and zip-posters.co.uk for larger colour posters. Does anyone know of cheaper places or alternatives, the more saved the better!
thanks
David

Hi,
I try my hand at sponsorship every time but it's not easy at the moment.
and the prices from local print shop are even higher.
The last job we did was 1000 A5 double sided colour flyers, £189 from printing.com
& 120 A1 colour posters, £270 from zip-posters.co.uk
thanks in advance for any pointers...0 -
Have you tried saxoprint? We've used them and they were cheap and quick, once we sorted out the artwork. You do need to provide the artwork for them. 1000 A5 2 sided colour flyers, on 80gsm paper, costs £62 incl VAT. The most expensive paper, 400gsm, costs £117 incl VAT, so still cheaper than you were paying.

Hi David. i have used Saxo print in the past. found them to be good , only downside was you have to do your own artwork, and save it in printers colours (rgb) not a standard paint program. i think things like photoshop work well.
i have a refferal link if you want to look at this thread.

If you just want basic flyers you could get an old photocopier cheap/free and make your own
Or if it's for charity how about seeing if you can get a company (maybe the printers) to sponser the leaflets?0 -

Hello, I'm new here. I run a small sign making company, and I use Vistaprint (sorry the forum won't allow me to post the web link as I'm new, but it's vistaprint dot co dot uk) for all my flyers, business cards etc, cheapest I could find and the quality and service is excellent.

Thanks for all the pointers! I used Saxo and the job went well + saved lots of ££££.
For the colour poster prints my deadlines could not be met by them or print 24 so I went back to zip-posters.co.uk they seem to offer the best price for faster turnarounds. I guess the key is I need to give more time if I want save more cash....always the way....
thanks
