Don't torture yourself. You didn't make any loss; it's just that you didn't get a freakish gain.
If you transferred that at $NZ2.4 to the pound, you would have brought over around £24,600. Had you waited today you might have got another £1000.
Enough to be annoying, but you have to look at it in the context that these are historically freakish rates, and you still did very well.
Fair value for the Kiwi has already been around 2.8-3.00 to the pound, so you still did well.
All you have done - to use an analogy related to shares - is sell your shares in a rising market. That's a good thing to do. That you didn't sell at the peak is a minor annoyance, and nothing else.0 -
