Three times i went into the local branch to open a CTF account!
1st time i phoned there generic number and was told to "just nip along". I walked the 3 miles with the pram to be told "oh sorry were actually busy and short staffed ill make you and appointment for 2 days time"
2 days letter I went along again (with my partner this time) to be told "oops we've made you an appointment with the wrong person you need the financial advisor" I told them then and there I did not want an account with them but my partner rearranged a date/time (argh!!)
Went back again when the financial advisor was in. Told him I wanted to open a CTF account for my boy, savings not shares (as stated in the CTF info book) to be told oh weve actually stopped doing the savings, its stakeholder only. Did no one tell you? Grrrrr, I told him exactly what I though of there customer service!! Then he tried to sell me life insurance!!!
I will never ever go near Abbey National again!!!
Just a shame Santander do my car finance!!!

I got annoyed at them - took 3 visits to sort my DD's CTF, which was a pain, and they have just sent me a letter saying they are handing her account over to another company.
I assume my DS's CTF is still going to be with them as I haven't heard otherwise....
