Thank you everyone - for the birthday wishes and for the crossed fingers/good vibes..

Thankfully we didn;t get the 30mm of rain that was forecast between 1and 4am this morning (Grommie and I stayed up until 3am waiting for the deluge :o before finally gong to bed.)

This weekend I have started to systematically clean the house from top to bottom and get it all ready for The Rave :j:j

Builders arrived today at 8am to put the final coats on the woodwork and will be in and out over this week for snagging. So today I am having a very quiet day getting high on the paint fumes and ironing :rotfl::rotfl:

(I will save my energy for a rather significant birthday this time next year :D - wil be a good excuse for The Rave Mark 2 :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches

(sorry I don't think any of them are piggies but they were the closest I could find)

Well, I have had a completely inactive day - not least because i can;t walk anywhere/do anything in the house without risking "smudging" the paintwork - even going to the loo has been a logistical nightmare...and I'm petrified I'm going to put my dirty little mitts on the banisters as i go upstairs

I have faithfully promised the builder that the piggies and I will try hard tonight not to get any of their fur/poos or whiskers stuck on the door frames etc :D

Cleaned out all the piggies earlier this morning and apart from that have just mooched...didn;t even do any ironing ...I did however let Ginger and Beechie have lots of hugs and a special "birthday" explore of the lounge (Mindful of my carpets and the paintwork of course :rotfl::rotfl:)

I have now opened an extremely pricey bottle of Cloudy Bay wine (my favourite - managed to sneak it in when buying The Rave booze :o), and am just debating whether to treat myself to the forbidden "gluten-packed" MacDonalds.....on second thoughts, best not to as I have a client meeting tomorrow morning :o:D

Obviously today was always going to be low key as I am saving the celebrations for when you lot all get down here at the end of the month :T:T:beer::beer::beer:
But thank you all anyway for posting on here and on FB.:beer::beer:
    ..........

..........And no Numpty - I'm afraid I still havent; done the list..
    ..sorry :o

    Happy birthday..you kept that quiet.

Hee heee :D:D:D:D:D - was (trying to) save it til The Rave - (Tsk Numpty Hun :naughty::kisses3:- you blew the gaff :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)

OK - so I'm one birthday off the big 50 (hence now The Rave Mark 2 next year :rotfl::rotfl:)

BUT - The Rave Mk 1 is not just for me but also for everyone to have a means of sharing with and celebrating their own triumphs over adversity/knock-backs .........and I think we have had quite a few between us this year ;) - e.g. at least two people I know have become debt-free, ;); two people are moving house to new areas to start the next phase of their lives :j; several people are overcoming ill health :T........(oh and some piggies as well ;))...and the list goes on

So I'm sure it's going to be fab - how could it not be ? We have an awful lot to celebrate between us all :beer:
