Car Warranties

Anyone have a good suggestion for the best palce to buy a car warranty now the car is outside the manufacturer cover?

    Yes

    Warranty Direct.

    Google them, plug in your details, go to the very last screen, then cancel out. Within 48hrs they'll call you with a quote probably about 20% lower.

    Not worth the money, save £50 a month in premium bonds as I do and when something goes wrong or it needs a service, cash them in.

    Depends on the car. most newer cars have ECUs and Turbos and failure of the or the ABS for example could easily run into £1500+.

    Id say on an average car you're looking at £250 for the year. £5 a week well spent....

    Exactly, they have so many " get out " clauses and small print, mostly they escape paying out by stating that things are " fair wear and tear ".

    ECUs can almost always be repaired for less than £200.

    Warranties are a waste of money.
