Camping in Mittel Europe. Sending the tent on? Courier, Post any ideas?

I want to go camping in Europe - Switzerland/ Austria really, but without the horrendously massive drive from the north.
So fly, local transport - camp. We already have our tent - but the cost of excess baggage is extremely prohibitive. The tent alone weighs in @ nearly 25 kg.
Is there any way of having it sent on to a post office to be picked up when we arrive?
Appreciate if any one out there has any ideas.
Thanks

I know but its just such a waste, it would break my heart. We have all the gear & I don't mind buying chairs & stuff, but to have a cracking big tent at home & then to buy a cheapie would just not seem right.
