BH why are you crying! You've got the barstewards on the back foot! :j :T
They are cacking themselbes coz they know they haven't got a leg to stand on. There offer of 'goodwill' is a desperate attempt that you will fall for it saving themselves the other 50%.
Don't back down now. Your moving in for the knockout punch!0 -

Ill chip in here, I am having a hard time with barclays aka To$$ers are us. I got offered £300 for £900 of charges over six years. They said "go forth and multiply" if you get my drift. So I then threatened them with court action. In response I got offered £300 as a "good will jesture" - just sign the envelope and return to have that lovely £300 in your account within the week.
So I wrote back to them, not good enough, want all my money. They said right see you in court and next day I filed claim against them on moneyclaim for the outstanding amount, plus costs plus 8%They have acknowledged and have 15 days left to enter a defence. A lot of us are coming to the end of the 30days and we have yet to see if they really, really want it to go to court.
They really dont like it when you turn the tables on them, getting their name, recording the conversations. Demanding all correspondance be done in writing. Asking to speak to a supervisor etc. I love to annoy barclays now. I'm just hoping they try and close my account on me so I can sue them for even more moneyThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. I've given up writing letters I now send faxes that go directly to the right person and can't get 'lost' in the postroom. Will have to sit and wait again.Barclaycard 3800

always back up the fax with an original document. Im not sure a fax can be considered a legal document.
There is no excusing the way that woman spoke to you today - but I think you beat her at her own game by telling her you had taped the conversation. She is probably getting very worried now about what you are going to do with the tape:cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0 -
Can I just ask a quick question please?! I'm about to send a letter to my cc company re charges but I'm worried that they will close my account if I kick up a stink and my credit rating is pretty rubbish to go elsewhere.0

I read recently on the bank consumer action or whatever it is that if a bank makes you an offer of a half payment that you should accept it and continue proceedings for the rest. Could you not say to them that you have decided to accept their offer but you are going to continue to fight for the rest. If its any consolation i am feeling extremly fed up with barclays because my OH should have got his pay cheque yesterday and his boss didnt come out today either and the mortgage went ouit today and we are now over our overdraft so i just know the b.........s are going to slap a whacking great charge on us. God, its nowonder we're all in so much debt. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0
