Help - angry buyer

Just an aside, but I think it's disgraceful to swear in any formal communication so just in case he gets nasty, keep that message. Edited to add - because I think ebay would see that as unacceptable also.0

If he has the nerve to leave a neg, it is relatively easy to remove after comments like that have been left on an unpaid item dispute.
eBay rules may well state 7 days for payment, but general courtesy and decency suggests it's a lot sooner than this. I too send UPI after day 7 unless the customer has indicated previously that there will be a delay.
I'm on ebay to sell goods and make money, not to chase around after a few quid from people who are not savvy enough or can not be arrised to let me know of a delay.
**Edit after noticing he has now paid**
Send it recorded delivery at your own cost - situations like this have a strange habit of turning into Item Not Received claims.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0 -
I always send invoices straight away and then a reminder after 7 days and open a dispute after 10 days.
But I don't think you have done anything wrong and the buyer is being unreasonable. They must of known they would be away when the auction ended so they should have sent you a message when they bidded on the item to let you know if they won it there would be a delay in paying. Then if you had opened the dispute they may have been unreasonable. Just make sure you block this person as I doubt you want them buying from you again. I would also report their message to ebay.0 -
I had this same problem with a buyer I just sent a nicely worded message saying I was sorry if I had offended them as that was not meant but that I had had so many non paying bidders that I had to cover myself and that I did think it was unusual due to their glowing feedback. Sorry if I have caused offence and it wasn't meant. She then replied she did understnad and left me good feedback and has bought from me since with no problems.0

Thanks all.
How do i go about reporting his message to ebay?
I was just surprised at his nastiness - if i hadn't paid for an item for 10 days i would have been mortified.
I have just replied calmly to him at the moment - thanking him for his payment & advising i have posted the item.
When do you usually close the NPB dispute?
Also sorry for all the questions but how many times do you contact buyers who haven't paid? Just wondering if me sending 2 invoices (plus the winning item message) is enough. I don't want to get in a situation of annoying the buyers with too many massages.
Thanks again0 -
I dont normally send an invoice after the sale as they get the ebay message. On day 3 or 4 if ive not heard anything I send an invoice. On Day 7 I send another invoice. On Day 8 I open a dispute. Unless i have been contacted I would change what I do0

He sounds like a nasty piece of work to me. He should be aware of the rules i.e. that all auctions must be paid in 7 days. And he shouldn't have bid in the first place if he knew he was going to be away when it ended.
Unless I get an instant payment as soon as the auction ends I always send an invoice - its just procedure.

How do i go about reporting his message to ebay?
Go into the message on my ebay, scroll down there should be a section called Market Place Safety Tip: which has this optionTrade safely. Beware of anyone who contacts you about buying or selling outside of eBay. When you trade outside the eBay platform, you're not able to leave feedback or take advantage of protection programmes and case resolution tools available on eBay. Report an inappropriate email.0
