littlewoods sofa problem

I paid £1680 for 3 and 2 seater sofas from Littlewoods catalogue in October. About 3 months ago I rang them and complained that the arm of the 3 seater was making a noise like cardboard wobbling back and forth and I could feel the wood support through the leather. They said they would send someone to lok at it, He turned up with a piece of wood to put inside the arm of the 3 seater dor extra support and it seemed alright for a while.
Now the 2 seater has the same fault and the 3 seater is doing it again. When I rang them they said they would send someone to inspect them, but if no manufacturing fault was found they would charge me £45.
yes he came, looked at them then sent his report to Littlewoods.
They then sent me a letter saying he could find no fault with them and added £45 to my account and said that was the end of the matter.
What can I do now?

Get a report off an independent upholsterer stating there is a manufacturing fault, will cost around £30.

Get that done forward the report, tell them you want it fixing for free and they can remove the charge! I've never know any retailer pass on the cost of an inspection !!
